Walmart:Code Amber!Unions at Walmart?! YES!
01.31.04 (4:42 pm)   [edit]
When you are greedy, and treat your workers like guano, Unions come after you.
If the first unionization of a Walmart Store happens, it will occur in Canada.

"Wal-Mart, with more than 4,300 stores around the world and annual global revenues exceeding $244.5 billion U.S., has become the world's dominant retailer by slashing prices. Part of those savings are realized through the lower wages and benefits it extends to its 1.3 million workers."

"Money is at issue in Jonquière, where Lemieux said wages range between $7.60 and $8.60 an hour, compared with between $9 and $17 in unionized grocery chains"

Not to mention that you have to be fulltime for 2 years before getting benefits!
Not to mention that the Waltons are the richest family in the world, surpassing Bill Gates.
And treat their employees like guano, when they could easily afford to pay them a more decent wage and still be profitable.
I hope Unions take over Walmart! From the Montreal Gazette: http://www.canada.com/montrea...

Washington, DC - The U.S. government pressed the Taliban to expel Usama
bin Laden over 30 times between 1996, when the Taliban took Kabul, and
the summer of 2001, but the talks were always fruitless and only three
of the approaches took place in the first year of the Bush
administration, according to a newly declassified State Department summary posted

Calling ALL BLOGGERS - Challenge Issued to ALL
01.30.04 (3:25 pm)   [edit]
Please consider this an invite or challenge to blog about the following topic:

NATIONAL IMPEACH GEORGE BUSH HOLIDAY

With the incredible talents of several good bloggers, we could get this baby off of the ground.

We will of course refer to already established but current and excellent petitions to be signed, and
actions to take such as emailing, faxing and phoning our
government representatives.

Challenge to you all!!!

National Impeach George W. Bush Day
01.30.04 (2:41 pm)   [edit]
I HAVE A DREAM!

We the citizens of the internet WORK TOGETHER towards an honorable, incredible goal - to Impeach George Bush.

I propose that we agree to a National Impeach George W. Bush Day. We will designate a specific day or week to utilize to lobby our senators and congressmen to initiate impeachment proceedings.

There are already plenty of web-sites that have the paperwork and legal work ready, they just lack the mobilization?

What do you think, could the internet create a GIGANTIC
wave of emails, faxes and phone calls to mobilize our sorry cowardly politicians?
Could this make the news???
Wouldnt that be grand?
IT COULD WORK.

YOUR HELP NEEDED: CBS received 340,000+ emails over refusal to run Moveon Ad
01.28.04 (12:24 pm)   [edit]
Over the last four days, something incredible has happened. CBS has received over 340,000 emails and phone calls asking it to stop its censorship. Clearly a huge number of us believe that CBS's refusal to run the Moveon.org Voter Fund ad, while allowing the Bush White House to run an advocacy ad of its own, is just plain wrong.

Columnists and editorial pages are writing about it. And on Monday, FCC commissioner Michael Copps issued a statement on it.
"this issue isn't just about our Voter Fund's ad -- an ad by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals was censored as well. At heart, it's about free speech. Huge companies like CBS that control access to the publicly owned airwaves have to air opposing points of view.

CBS still refuses to run "Child's Pay." But together, we can increase the pressure on CBS. And through the power of the Internet, we can make sure that millions of people see the ad and learn about the controversy. As a first step, forward this email or the original message attached below to your friends. Ask them to check out the ad at:

Daniel Ellsberg Jan 27:Reveal the Pentagon Papers of Iraq!
01.26.04 (11:25 pm)   [edit]
Many people are still ignorant about the Vietnam War, and how 3 separate Presidents lied about it!

Daniel Ellsberg provided classified documents to a newspaper to expose the lies that put us in Vietnam, and the lies that kept us in Vietnam through 3 Presidencies.

Daniel Ellberg, for exposing the lies of the government, faced 12 felony counts and a possible sentence of 115 years;
the charges were dismissed when it was discovered that White House actions aimed at stopping further revelations of administration lying had included criminal actions against him. That was what the WATERGATE scandal was all about!

Ellsberg is a brilliant and wise man. Worth reading anything he says:

WANTED-DEMOCRACY -Your Help Needed!
01.24.04 (8:07 pm)   [edit]
In May, 2003 Representative Rush Holt introduced a bill that would require a voter-verifiable audit trail on every voting system. It's called the Voter Confidence and Increased Accessibility Act of 2003 (H.R. 2239).
In December, 2003 Senator Robert Graham introduced a companion bill (S. 1980) into the Senate. It is identical in both title and text to H.R. 2239.
H.R. 2239 is presently in the Committee on House Administration. S.1980 is presently in the Senate Rules and Administration Committee.
We must bring both these bills to action and get them passed immediately after the Congress resumes in January.
Co-sponsorship must be increased for both bills, especially among members of the committees where the bills now reside.
If we can get these bills enacted, we won't have to fight, state by state and county by county, to preserve democratic elections.
We urgently need to get these bills passed.
Please call, fax, or phone your congressmen and senators both at your earliest convenience. This will be our last chance to peacefully save our right to vote. Website by Stanford University Computer Scientist Dr. David Dill, with news, information and resources at

YOUR VOTE- Was Stolen, While You Slept! OR Black-Hole for the A-Hole
01.23.04 (2:10 pm)   [edit]
Verifiable Voting is the most important issue of all that are on the table.
Why? Because if the politicians know they can cheat us out of our votes, then we can call, write, email, fax and protest all we want, IT WON'T MATTER anymore.

Our vote is the final leverage in getting rid of bad politicians.

That is why I was glad, greatful to see Buzzflash mention VerifiedVoting.org on their web-site.

Dr. David Dill, computer scientist of Stanford University, founded the web-site to address the black hole that was built into the HAVA act.
His staff gave up their regular businesses to fight for our right to vote, and to have our vote counted. They are dedicated, to the point of working around the clock, and have done so for months!
Paul Krugman was right, our Democracy is at Risk! He suggests that we "imagine this: in November the candidate trailing in the polls wins an upset victory — but all of the districts where he does much better than expected use touch-screen voting machines. Meanwhile, leaked internal e-mail from the companies that make these machines suggests widespread error, and possibly fraud. What would this do to the nation?
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/01/23/opinion/23 KRUG.html?adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=107 4895560-TwTIco7lC1lc" title="http://www.nytimes.com/2004/01/23/opinion/23 KRUG.html?adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=107 4895560-TwTIco7lC1lc" target="_blank"http://www.nytimes.com/2004/0...+dbbMrAlfQ
SERIOUSLY THIS IS THE ISSUE OF ALL ISSUES -
Everyone needs to write to their congressmen and senators NOW and ask them to CO-SPONSOR:
"The Voter Confidence and Increased Accessibility Act". This bill -- H.R.2239 in the House and S.1980 in the Senate -- ensures a voter-verifiable paper record of all votes on all election equipment and shortens the timeline for providing accessible voting equipment for disabled persons.

EVERYONE MUST TAKE ACTION QUICKLY, as ONCE THE MONEY IS RELEASED TO THE STATES, MANY WILL BEGIN BUYING DREs immediately.
Every state will have to replace some voting equiptment.

Even worse, the Govt is EXPERIMENTING with the overseas military vote, having them vote via the internet.

THIS WILL HAPPEN UNLESS THERE IS AN OVERWHELMING BATTLE CRY FROM THE CITIZENS OF OUR COUNTRY.
People fought and died so that we could have a democracy. If we don't stand up now for our right to vote, we may have to fight and die to get it back for our children.

Aspartame (Equal) Origionally BioWarfare Chemical
01.20.04 (10:02 pm)   [edit]
Aspartame started as a biowarfare chemical????
Posted Jan 19, 2004 08:13 PM PST
"Technically, the chemical is called aspartame, and it was once on a Pentagon list of biowarfare chemicals submitted to Congress.
Aspartame is produced by G.D. Searle Company, founded in 1888 and located in Skokie, Illinois. Searle is now owned by others. ...it is known to erode intelligence and affect short-term memory. It is essentially a chemical weapon designed to impact populations en masse."
Donald Rumsfeld wants to have this chemical put into your food and drink. http://www.mercola.com/articl...
Also known as an Excitotoxin:
"... a growing number of clinicians and basic scientists who are convinced that a group of compounds called excitotoxins play a critical role in the development of several neurological disorders including migraines, seizures, infections, abnormal neural development, certain endocrine disorders, neuropsychiatric disorders, learning disorders in children, AIDS dementia, episodic violence, lyme borreliosis, hepatic encephalopathy, specific types of obesity, and especially the neurodegenerative diseases, such as ALS, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease, and olivopontocerebellar degeneration."

Some have wondered if that is what happened to
Michael J. Fox, who guzzled down many a diet drink day in and out.
Suspicions that Fox's name is being used to advance a phoney crusade against Parkinson's increased once the former actor's ties to Pepsi products were understood.
"Michael Fox has also been a Diet Pepsi spokesman and informants say he is addicted, drinking many a day." Diet Pepsi contains the FDA-approved artificial sweetener aspartame. Aspartame is an extremely volatile substance that, under ordinary storage conditions, breaks down quickly into methanol, a known neurotoxin. The methanol then breaks down into formaldehyde." http://www.mercola.com/articl...

N.C.:10 Commandments Monument put in front of City Hall by Councel Member
01.20.04 (12:05 pm)   [edit]
Winston-Salem, North Carolina - City Council member Robinson placed 1-ton marker bearing Ten Commandments yesterday

A seven-man crew removed a monument of the Ten Commandments late this morning from in front of City Hall that had been illegally placed there the day before by City Council Member Vernon Robinson.

He made sure to have his name inscribed on it.
Guess he wanted the public to think that God was endorsing his senatorial candidacy.

Claiming to be a Christian, but erecting a monument to himself, really.

Video-Iraqi Farmers Slaughtered by U.S. Apache Copter
01.17.04 (10:33 pm)   [edit]
"the vehicle on the left is a tractor and that the Apache just blew away some farmers. I'm a farm kid myself, and there is no question that the men were involved in some kind of agricultural activity, most likely ploughing. This is cold blooded murder and this video records a war crime. Certainly the video makes it clear that the Apache was not engaged in evasive flight indicating that it was under any kind of a threat. Make local copies of this video. Put them on CD-ROMS. Hand them out. The US Government is desperate to explain this away."

CBS SUX -Wont Show Moveon.orgs Commercials paid for by poor slobs such as myself
01.16.04 (6:15 pm)   [edit]
I sent an email to the following CBS email addresses, which are global addresses, and will reach alot of people.
The COWARDS/CREEPS WONT SHOW THE MOVEON COMMERCIALS THAT LITTLE PEOPLE LIKE ME PAID FOR.
these are global email lists so they will go to a bunch of people.
cbs-advertising&promotion @tvc.cbs.com
cbsadministration@cbs.com

I wanted to express my intense displeasure with CBS's censorship of the airwaves.

I am one of many who donated to www.moveon.org so that commercials could be put on the airwaves.
Little do you realize how many people you have upset. Word of Moveon.org has been spreading via the internet and word of mouth.
Many people are drawn to this organization because we fee dis-enfranchized by the government.
We especially feel abandoned by the "4th Estate" now known as the media.
Long ago, at the beginning of this country, people fought and died, so that we could have freedom of speech.Since then. those freedoms have greatly erroded...
WE HAVE LEARNED NOT TO RELY ON THE NEWS AS PRESENTED ON CBS, ABC, MBC, AND CNN.
We, the people have had to pool our money to "pay for our freedom of speech."
Yet, that is not enough for you.
You, the media have abandoned your honorable position as guardian of the truth.

Millions of people have their hopes pinned on having their voices heard, through the help of Moveon.org,
only to have them stifled once again, through CBS's refusal to act as a non-partisan media.

CBS has shown what they are made of. I will remember what CBS has done in this instance,
and it will color all of my decisions and responses regarding its broadcasts.
We, the people had hoped that our few dollars, pooled together would give us a voice, just like
your wealthy customers, and found ourselves shunned, once again.
I cant wait till there is a complete alternative to the bought and paid for perverted and unimaginative commercial tv.
Till then, I will wear out my remote control, searching for the tiny scraps of viewing worth my time.
CBS will not be part of that search.

WalMart s/b called Sal-Mart (short for Salmonella Mart)
01.16.04 (11:04 am)   [edit]
I love to browse through a Wal-Mart Store.
The place has impact

Turns out that Wal-Mart has impact on the stomach, as well as the eye.

Dallas - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is attempting to close down a Wal-Mart meat supplier, Supreme Beef Processors in Dallas, after the department discovered that in three separate tests over eight months around 20 percent of the supplier's samples contained salmonella.
Supreme Beef has filed a lawsuit against the USDA and obtained a temporary restraining order halting the plant's closure.
Food safety experts say that if Supreme Beef prevails in the legal battle, the USDA may have to abandon a new science-based method for inspecting meat and return to a 100-year-old, poke-and-sniff system of inspection which cannot detect bacterial contamination.
Salmonella is a bacteria that causes one million cases of food poisoning and 556 deaths every year.

A Wal-Mart spokeswoman refused to say how much meat Wal-Mart bought from Supreme Beef. More at Walmart Watch

My Rant to Earthlink in response to their Customer Service Survey
01.16.04 (10:28 am)   [edit]
Earthlink values its CEOs more than its employees and customers.
That is what it does when it lays off massive numbers of U.S. employees to pay the slave labor wages in foreign countries.
Eventually your customers will drop your service when they lose their jobs.
So your crappy human resource policies will come back on you eventually.
Earthlink could have been the company that is loyal to its customers(in the U.S.) and its employees (in the U.S) and won the business away from MSN, AOL and others

Trip to Mars - The Real Reasons (Halliburton) and Costs (up to $1Trillion)
01.15.04 (11:23 am)   [edit]
Bush thinks Dick is going to build a candy bar factory on Mars?

TWO VERY DIFFERENT COST ESTIMATES:

At a cost of $12 billion over the next five years President Bush outlined his space exploration plan today, which includes a new space vehicle to return American astronauts to the moon as early as 2015. http://www.fcw.com/fcw/articl...

Despite the White House's initial lowballing,
legitimate Cost estimates for the new program range from $550 billion to $1 trillion.
Until the federal government brings the record deficit back down to earth,
it should not launch expensive new space programs of questionable scientific value."

"How do Republicans fight back?"

Or at least "peace through strength."

New Apollo Project- Could Create 3.3 Million New Jobs and Energy Independence
01.14.04 (1:21 pm)   [edit]
I have always thought that a clean energy program would create new jobs. I looked into the cost of retro-fitting my house with solar energy, would be about $15K, and some tax credits would help some, but I didnt have the financial resources available. However, building a home with clean energy in the plans is a little less expensive. Article excerpt below:

Did Your Family Fortune Come from Nazis?
01.11.04 (8:21 pm)   [edit]
President Bush's grandfather was a director of a bank seized by the federal government because of its ties to a German industrialist who helped bankroll Adolf Hitler's rise to power, government documents show.

After the seizures in late 1942 of five U.S. enterprises he managed on behalf of Nazi industrialist Fritz Thyssen, Prescott Bush, the grandfather of President George W. Bush, failed to divest himself of more than a dozen "enemy national" relationships that continued until as late as 1951, newly-discovered U.S. government documents reveal. Furthermore, the records show that Bush and his colleagues routinely attempted to conceal their activities from government investigators

Although the additional seizures under the Trading with the Enemy Act did not take place until after the war, documents from The National Archives and Library of Congress confirm that Bush and his partners continued their Nazi dealings unabated. These activities included a financial relationship with the German city of Hanover and several industrial concerns. They went undetected by investigators until after World War Two
The New Hampshire Gazette http://www.nhgazette.com/cgi-...

The Walker-Harriman-created German industrial alliance also included partnership with another German titan who supported Hitler's rise, Friedrich Flick, who partnered with Thyssen in the German Steel Trust that forged the Nazi war machine. For his role in using slave labor and his own steel, coal and arms resources to build Hitler's war effort, Flick was convicted at the Nuremberg trials and sentenced to seven years in prison.

On October 20, 1942, under authority of the Trading with the Enemy Act, the U.S. Congress seized UBC and liquidated its assets after the war. The seizure is confirmed by Vesting Order No. 248 in the U.S. Office of the Alien Property Custodian and signed by U.S. Alien Property Custodian Leo T. Crowley.

911 Bush Knew - Join the Non Violent Revolution
01.10.04 (11:03 pm)   [edit]
"The Truth Will Keep U.S. Free"
Statement of the Case

On 11/26/03, Ellen Mariani filed a civil RICO action [Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act] lawsuit against President Bush and other high level members of his administration based upon prior knowledge of 911; knowingly failing to act, prevent or warn of 911; and the ongoing obstruction of justice by covering up the truth of 911; all in violation of the laws of the United States.

Ellen seeks judicial redress to restore the U.S. Consititution's "Separation of Powers" clause so never again will another "911" occur on our land.

Attention Present and Former Federal Employees

We urge all present and former federal employees with any information about "911" that you reasonably believe is a violation of law including fraud, abuse, cover-up, etc., of "911" to contact us immediately.

We will keep your name confidential and file appropriate documents with the Federal Courts to protect your identity and your job.

A call to unity - 911 for the truth!

"It is time for a non-violent revolution by the millions of Americans who are tired of their rights being diminished by the Bush Administration; tired of the lies of the Bush Administration; tired of the lies about Iraq; and tired and disgusted with the lies about 911. Now is the time to stand tall together and bring back our freedoms as they stood under the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States."

AIDS/HIV -What I Believe- The Real Truth
01.10.04 (7:20 pm)   [edit]
Have you ever wondered why AIDS broke out at the same time in a few separate geographical and/or cultural groups?
If you are not willing to question what mainstream media has told you, then you will not be willing to consider what I am telling you here:
AIDS suddenly appeared in New York following a free Hepatitus Vaccine program aimed at the Homosexual population. The program was recommended for "high risk" individuals.
At the same time, the vaccine program was also started in San Francisco. Guess what else? the United States so kindly offered free vaccines to countries in the continent of Africa.
These three areas were the forerunners of the AIDS epidemic.
If the propaganda was true (supposedly AIDS origionated in Africa crossing from species - African Green Monkey to African Humans) then why did it only errupt in the 70's???

Excerpts from email I received today from Boyd Graves, AIDS Activist (NOTE:I have looked up the patents he refers to at the US Patent Trade Office, one in particular for the cheap patent for AIDS : Link to the actual patent

If you don't think the Government would create a disease and then infect certain populations on purpose, then you probably dont believe in the involuntary sterilization of some minority group members and other folks not protected by law at the time.

If you do or don't believe what I am telling you, please read up on it. Then see if you dont change your mind.
Things have changed alot over the years.

The News Brief:
Medicare Still High on Congressional Agenda
When Congress reconvenes January 20, the recently enacted Medicare law will still be a hot issue. Democrats are vowing to "rewrite the law to reduce the role of private health plans, to increase drug benefits and to authorize the government to negotiate drug prices," reports Robert Pear of The New York Times. Senate Democratic Leader Thomas Daschle (D-SD) and Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-MA) have already introduced bills to change the new law to allow Americans to import prescription drugs from Canada; fill the prescription drug "doughnut hole" coverage gap and abolish the demonstration project which will require traditional Medicare to compete directly with private plans beginning in 2010. House Democratic leaders are also said to be drafting bills aimed at correcting many of the most egregious provisions in the new law. Several states with prescription drug assistance programs have also weighed in on the new Medicare law, saying it remains unclear how it will affect prescription drug costs for their elderly residents. Meanwhile, the Bush Administration, Republican Congressional leaders and their allies, including AARP, are engaged in a massive nationwide public relations campaign aimed at convincing older Americans that the new law is good news for them. "We know that isn't true," says Edward F. Coyle, Executive Director of the Alliance for Retired Americans. "The Alliance will continue efforts to ensure that every older American fully understands the provisions of this truly flawed bill. Our goal is to get the facts into their hands before the fall election."

AL Kennedy
Wednesday January 7, 2004
The Guardian

"Feeling restless? Is 2004 looking just like 2003? Do you long to have your place in life very firmly defined by others and to wear a range of interesting hats? Do you have low financial expectations, a vigorous desire to travel and a functioning index finger? Then the US military could be for you."
"Not a US citizen? Don't fret - the Department of Defense Inc welcomes one and all. You can fight for a passport, fight for a green card, just fight for the Christian, God-fearing hell of it. And you'll be in good hands - Secretary of the Air Force James Roche is a former vice-president at Northrop Grumman; Secretary of the Navy Gordon England is a former executive at General Dynamics; and former Secretary of the Army Thomas E White came direct from those hard-fighting boys at Enron. You're only a few months of training from jury-rigging armour on your combat-unready vehicle, eating out of filthy, Halliburton-run kitchens, sewing patches on your Vietnam-issue flak jacket and tying plastic strips round the wrists of numberless fascinating strangers, often in their own homes. Brits also have local access to a subsidiary enterprise, run to the same exacting standards. French nationals need not apply. "

Rescue American Jobs and to Restore the Middle Class! White Collar and Blue Collar Workers Working T
01.02.04 (6:55 pm)   [edit]
Have you heard the great sucking sound?
If you have lost your job, you are probably wondering what strategy to take. The only field that seems to be growing is nursing. Tech is being outsourced to other countries, factory work is long gone. Eventually folks will have to make do with slave labor wages, because that is what they are competing with.

By the end of January 2003 more than 70% of laid-off technology workers had exhausted (used up) their unemployment benefits. Unemployment for technology workers has continued to rise, giving little hope for re-employment.

The total number of US technical jobs is around 8.5 million and we have imported around 3-4 million temporary foriegn technical workers.

In the year 2001, 9 out of every 10 new job openings for computer/IT were taken by H-1Bs, and despite record unemployment the INS issued 312,000 visas in 2002.

L-1 workers are considered employees of a foreign company and paid by the foreign company. This means that they do not have to pay U.S. taxes. (2003 Data)

Bankruptcies and home foreclosures in America have now reached an all-time high. Approximately 1 out of every 100 mortgages in America is currently in foreclosure, and 1 in every 5 American mortgages is more than 30 days late. (20-June-2003

3.3 million jobs are expected to be offshore outsourced to India and China over the next several years. (2003 Business Week)

Missouri residents who call a 1-800 number with questions about their welfare, food stamps, and benefits are being routed to a state call center in India!

America is the only developed nation that does not have protectionist legislation that provides disincentives for companies that use imported and offshore cheap foreign labor. (2003)

A group has formed to work together to restore the working middle class, called "Rescue American Jobs"
